About The Cottage

The Wild Atlantic Way runs directly down our lane to Ceibh Baile na hAbhann – a viewpoint across Galway Bay to the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher. Local fisherman still use traditional curraghs go out to catch crab and lobsters.
The traditional cosiness of a thick-walled stone cottage is combined with all the requirements of modern home living – including fast fibre wifi – to provide a warm, cosy home from home – great as a base for a touring holiday, a relaxed retreat from a busy life, and ideal as a change of scene for a staycation or working from home.
The main living area is open-plan with wooden floors, exposed beams and a turf-burning stove which gives off the tantalising smell of Connemara. Patio doors open out on the small paved walkway and gives views of the garden shared with the main farmhouse and out towards patchwork fields bounded by traditional stone walls.
